Biography
Malaika is the Associate Director of Impact at Carnegie Mellon University Africa, where she leads the impact measurement and learning of initiatives that advance the university’s mission across the continent. With over a decade of experience in international development, she brings expertise in impact strategy, data-driven decision-making, and managing multi-million-dollar programs. Malaika previously served as the founding Program Lead for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at CMU-Africa, playing a pivotal role in its launch and expansion. Prior to CMU-Africa, she worked at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, overseeing economic growth and good governance initiatives. She is driven by a deep passion for youth empowerment, transformative education, and ethical leadership.
