Professor Katcho Karume

Biography

Professor Karume is a Full Professor and holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Physics from Makerere University. He has been teaching for more than 35 years Mathematics, Physics, modelling, Renewable Energy, Environmental Impact Assessment, GIS and Remote Sensing and climate change. Published and co-published more than 170 peer reviewed papers, 4 books and 12 book chapters; and many technical reports. He is the general director of a geothermal research center. He is a member of the DRC National Scientific Council as well as a SADEC member of energy and Remote Sensing specialists team.
