Prof. Patrick Okori

Biography

Prof. Patrick Okori is the Executive Secretary of RUFORUM. He served as a Principal Scientist for Groundnut breeding and the Country representative in Mozambique for International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT). Before joining ICRISAT, he served as an Associate Professor at Makerere University in Uganda, in the School of Agricultural Sciences where he served as a Dean. He holds a PhD in Plant Breeding from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala. He is widely published and graduated over 50 PhD and MSc students. He is coordinating several research projects across Africa, and has facilitated strategic planning for universities and research institutions.
