Dr. David Chikoye

Biography

Dr. Chikoye is the Director of the Regional Hub for Southern Africa and the Plant Production and Health Management thematic area at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA). A specialist in weed science and management, Dr. Chikoye is committed to improving agricultural productivity and food security across Africa. Dr. Chikoye holds a PhD from the University of Guelph, and has spearheaded multidisciplinary research projects focusing on demand-driven, participatory research utilizing bottom-up livelihoods approaches.
