Biography
Professor Jan Willem Swanepoel is Associate Professor and Director of the Centre for Sustainable Agriculture at the University of the Free State. He leads the University of the Free State MasterCard Foundation-funded TAGDEV 2.0 project spanning African higher education institutions. With expertise in sustainable food systems, agriculture economics, and agriculture extension, Prof. Swanepoel brings academic rigor and private sector acumen. He has secured funding and successfully managed and delivered transformative projects with national and international universities, governments, and organisations. He furthermore serves as Chief Editor of the South African Journal of Agricultural Extension.
