Professor Loannis N. Athanasiadis

Biography

Professor Athanasiadis is the Chair of Artificial Intelligence at Wageningen University, Netherlands. Professor Athanasiadis specializes in machine learning and big data for agriculture and ecology. Professor Athanasiadis co-founded the Agricultural Model Intercomparison and Improvement Project (AgMIP) Machine Learning team and develops Artificial Intelligence solutions for farmers and policymakers to address global agricultural challenges. Professor Athanasiadis research aims to advance artificial intelligence to address global challenges, related to food security, agriculture and ecology.
